This is my second take after finding my previous video has corrupted audio and my performance was a bit of a disaster (just a few months after recovering from arthritis on my left fingers). I tried to improve this based on EK’s solo version on his 2013 HandPicked album. I was playing the old version since the 80s and they are basically the same except for the tempo and without the accompaniment.

You will notice that I tuned my guitar a half note lower for this recording. This Time was composed by EK and included in his Fingerpainting album (1977). It became more popular when Al Jarreau, EK’s good friend, wrote the lyrics and released it in his 1980 album “This Time” which topped the Jazz Charts. EK was on the acoustic guitar.
