A Burt Bacharach composition, played by Earl Klugh in his first released album (1976). When I first heard this on a cassette tape, wow, I can’t get my hands off the guitar! This is the reason I learned EK’s guitar pieces, and I learn them by ear. You must know the song to play this correctly, otherwise you will just be on a finger rote, skillful yet soul-less. I tried to improve this version thru the years until I stopped playing regularly in 1998. I tried to play the guitar again in 2010 but I was just busy and had no time. UNTIL the COVID pandemic came and had plenty of time but my fingers were aching with arthritis and had suffered from the virus. After recovery, surprisingly, my arthritis was in remission, and I can stretch my fingers again late 2020. After more than a year, my skills were coming back but my speed and dexterity had diminished due to age. So, I decided to record my EK guitar pieces for posterity while I still can play them.
